Jean Stumpf had a hole-in-one April 15, 2019 on hole 14 at Las Sendas in Mesa, AZ.
She used a 3 Wood on the 112 yard par 3 holes.
Witnesses to her great achievement were Jan Wiltse , Randy Wiltse and David Stumpf.
It was a beautiful day in Arizona, sunny with a slight breeze, high temperature was 78 degrees. It was the first time my husband and I had played Las Sendas and we were there as guests of the Wiltse?s. It was an extremely tough course...lots of undulating fairways and greens. I don?t swing hard and generally don?t carry the ball in the air more than 80 yards so I have a tough time on water holes, etc. We got to 14 and the yardage said 112. I hit a sweet three wood Ping Rhapsody and the ball hit and rolled up onto the green and just kept arcing towards the pin. Randy started saying ?hole in one...it went in!? I thought he was just teasing me so I refrained from any jubilation and remained calm. I really wasn?t excited as I never thought it would happen to me. I am an inconsistent golfer and this just proves it even more! You win some and you lose some but every once in awhile you contribute! I do have a bit more confidence now and maybe I will even start strengthening my upper arms! It was FUN!!!!.
